Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo, designed their first haute couture women's ready-to-wear collection in 1981 introducing the concept of √¢‚Ǩ‚Äπ√¢‚Ǩ‚Äπdeconstructed fashion. Their revolutionary aesthetic shocked the world with clothes that looked unfinished, tattered and with loose and flowing silhouettes, which defined his revolutionary work, and became the go-to look of the 1980's urban aesthetic.
